About
Lee-Anne Willoux (pronounced Willow)
I am a London-based qualified hairdresser and session stylist, with experience working across all hair types and within fashion, music, beauty and entertainment
Having studied graphic design at Ravensbourne University London, my work is shaped by a strong visual and conceptual perspective, influencing how I see and approach hair as a visual form of expression. Self-taught in braiding from a young age, I developed my skill through experimentation and my love for music and black culture. This later led to working with music artists and developing my career as a session stylist within the wider music and creative industries, across editorial, campaigns, music, live production, theatre, film and TV.
Storytelling, detail and connection are central to my work. I see hair as part of the wider creative language of a project, helping to shape identity, character and overall direction.
This ethos also inspired BRAIDS PLUS MUSE, my creative platform exploring the relationship between stylist and client — where the person in the chair becomes the muse, and I become the artist. The intimacy and conversation that naturally come with getting your hair done create space for self-expression, connection, creativity and natural collaboration, with hair as the medium.
